Orkney “Collect memories of
wild-flowers in the early summer meadows, of stone circles at
midsummer sunset or midwinter dawn, or skeins of wintering wildfowl in
autumn. Orkney has much to charm the visitor - historic attractions of
global significance, diverse wildlife in a pure and serene
environment, a rich cultural heritage, and traditionally warm and
welcoming people.
The historic sites of the beautiful
Orkney Islands are one of the great Scottish experiences. With more
than five thousand years of human history, culture and architecture,
the global significance of Orkney's Neolithic Heartland was recognised
with
World Heritage Site.
Historic Scotland look after the World Heritage Site Neolithic
Heartland, which includes Skara Brae stone village, the fascinating
tomb of Maeshowe - older than the pyramids and with Viking graffiti
you won't find in Egypt - the magnificent standing stone circle at the
Ring of Brodgar, the stone village of Barnhouse, and the Stones of
Stenness.
Why Training in Orkney?
Those of you who have already trained in a residential setting
will know the benefits of simply getting away from it all, relaxing
with like-minded individuals, and really soaking it all in.
Being on the island, working daily with the
energy and visiting the sites, enables us to
tap into, consciously and unconsciously, ancient memories and
teachings helping us
to remember and become more of what we are here to be. Individual and
group resonance is raised to a level where “moving on” is inevitable,
healing can occur for person and planet. Magical things happen when we
come together in these incredible places.
